Nick Turner, Network Partner

Adviser, corporate strategist and futures thinker, Nick Turner has over 25 years’ experience offering counsel to senior decision makers at multi-national corporations and governments, helping make better choices today for an uncertain tomorrow.

A product of Silicon Valley and Wall Street, Nick specializes in using strategic thinking, behavioral economics, simulations and scenario planning to ensure that senior decision-makers and their organizations develop robust, future-proofed strategies and options.

Previously, Nick served as a Managing Director at both Morgan Stanley and Nomura and as Co-President of Global Business Network (GBN) / Senior Partner of Michael Porter’s Monitor Group. The initial part of Nick’s career was spent in the high-technology industry, having held marketing and business development roles at the Xerox Corporation and helping launch Palo Alto start-up, Visioneer.

Notable consulting assignments have included developing future growth strategies within investment /wholesale banking, asset management, energy, technology, telecommunications and mining. Nick has also helped corporate clients to better understand and manage key strategic risks and advised governments / public sector organizations on industrial and economic policy development. Recent clients have included Barclays, Bank of America, Blackrock, BP, Citigroup, Credit Agricola, Coutts, RBS and Thomson Reuters.

In addition to his advisory work, Nick has shared his experience and expertise in a variety of settings, both through customized executive development programs in strategic thinking, scenario development and mega-trends analysis, and as a guest lecturer at leading business schools, including London Business School (LBS) and INSEAD.

Nick is a board member of the Mayor of London’s Enterprise Panel, helping to develop an integrated economic growth strategy for the city. Nick holds a BSc (Hons) in Management Science from the University of Wales.
